Through the comparison of different cultures and through the comparison of ancient and modern China, the speakers will introduce to you the time-honored history and the fascinating charm of China.

Thought-provoking lectures will enable you to better understand Chinese culture and its current situation. During the 2-week summer school, you will experience Confucian Thoughts, Taoism, Chinese Religion and Culture, Cultural Politics and the Future of China, etc.

Experience the charm of Beijing, where ancient wisdom meets with modernity, by visiting places of historic interest and the city’s modern landmarks, such as the Palace Museum, the Great Wall and the Bird’s Nest. Besides, you will have the chance to learn how to make Chinese dumplings and practice Chinese calligraphy.

Dynamic Location

The summer school will take place at Beijing Normal University (BNU). Located in the center of Beijing, BNU has convenient transportation with only 30 minutes’ drive to the Palace Museum & 13 minutes’ drive to the Bird’s Nest (the National Olympic Stadium). It is convenient to feel the old Beijing and modern china during the summer school.
